If you're here to hike, bike, sightsee, kayak, fish, explore, mingle or simply to relax, our cottages are a stone's throw from it all. Choose from four 2-bedroom, fully equipped,

self-contained cottages, or a 1-bedroom cottage with wheelchair accessibility and facilities.

Burnt Hill Cottages lie adjacent to its namesake hill – Burnt Hill
(also known as Big Hill or Neddie's Hill) is a popular destination for hikers or photographers seeking a great vantage point from which to view the spectacular Bonne Bay and Tablelands beyond. Our cottages provide an ideal base from which to explore Gros Morne National Park, the Town of Norris Point, nearby Woody Point, Bonne Bay, or just about every nook and cranny along the salty coastline.

Each cottage is self-contained with kitchen, full bath, furnished sitting room, flat screen cable TV, and patio with BBQ.

Grill to your heart's content as you take in the amazing view that surrounds you. Burnt Hill Cottages is a few minutes walk from hiking trails, restaurants, the Bonne Bay Marine Centre, BonTours and the Woody Point Ferry.

Getting Here

Burnt Hill Cottages is located in Norris Point, Gros Morne National Park, on the west coast of the island of Newfoundland and Labrador. There are several ways to reach the Cottages:

 

By flight to the airport in Deer Lake, Newfoundland and drive North on Route 430 (The Viking Trail). 
About 45 minutes from Deer Lake, take a left on to Route 15 (Eastlink by the Visitor Centre). 
Within 10 minutes you will be in beautiful Norris Point.

 

By car, drive to Nova Scotia and take the Newfoundland ferry to Port aux Basques ( a six hour ferry ride). 
From Port aux Basques, drive East on the Trans-Canada Highway until you arrive in Deer Lake (approximately
3 hours).  From Deer Lake follow Route 430 North (The Viking Trail).  About 45 minutes from Deer Lake, take a left on to Route 15 (Eastlink by the Visitor Centre).  Within 10 minutes you will be in beautiful Norris Point.
